The Howlett Family

"Being a part of a family means that you are a part of something wonderful.  It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life.  No matter what."

In looking through past photos, from weddings to kids to families, one thing remains the same throughout; Love.  Though the stages of love and types of love vary, there is always Love.  The new love of engagement and wedding photos, the unconditional love in a parents eyes for their newborn, the forever love of families.

This family makes me happy every time I get to be with them, let alone photograph them!  Miss C, you are growing like a weed!  A fun thing we tried with this shoot was to meet at a park and just snap pictures as they played!  They turned out so great and how much fun for them!  This kind of shoot makes me excited to see what’s in store next for this growing family!

Logan

While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.
~Angela Schwindt

I can imagine that there is something about bringing home a baby for the first time that is so surreal and new.  Your life has officially changed.  Your sleep, your routines, your errand running, your grocery list, your laundry; everything is different and wonderfully new all because of this little person in your life!  All for the better!

Little mister Logan!  You are a ham!  And the biggest, little blessing your parents could ask for!  You light up a room with that smile and will soon be stealing hearts with it!  You certainly have an eye for your momma though!  I think my favorite part of this shoot was being able to hang out at your home and seeing the whole family in your natural environment.  You’re one lucky little guy!  Spoiled with love!

Amelia & Mark - May 25, 2012

"This is the start of your sweet little story.  The part where your page meets his and no matter where your tale takes you, tomorrow, your story will always read 'Love'."

Outdoor weddings are always some of the best.  There's the unknown and yet a creativity that goes into setting up this nature-themed outdoor affair.  It is truly and uniquely your own.  You can't help but relax to the music of the birds and wind blowing through the trees and the nature provided decor.

A majority of the photos I take have been for friends or co-workers, family, extended family but rarely for someone I have yet to meet.  There’s always apprehension when meeting new people.  What are their personalities like?  Will I know what kind of photos to do to fit their style?  These two families would not disappoint!  What an amazing bunch!  I’m quite certain I haven’t smiled or laughed that much at a wedding in all my life!  And the beautiful personalities I met will stick with me forever!  You are all so great and willing to do pictures, rain or shine!  It was wonderful meeting all of you fine folks!  I would be so blessed to see you again in the future!

The Leitheiser Family

"Family is where life begins and love never ends"

It's one thing to take photos of a family in a pre-determined scenic location.  There is something completely different about taking family photos at home, the place where the memories were made and where it all began.  The mood is different.  The comfortable nature of home shows on the faces of those in the photos.  From newborn sessions, to families, to weddings, there's a different feel to these photos.

I love beautiful weekends when the spring sun is shining and there are little pieces of fluff floating through the air from the giant cottonwood trees overhead.  These picturesque days are rare and if you happen to have a session scheduled for this kind of day you’re even luckier.  So began the afternoon with this beautiful family!  A great group through and through and a little boy to keep everyone guessing!  A wonderful get together and pictures to remember it by!

The Lichty Family

"Family, like branches on a tree,we all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain the same."

Seeing a family all together, catching up, laughing, telling stories, you can't help but be reminded of your own family and the times you share.  The one good thing about moving and spreading out is the coming back together again.

What a group!  It’s wonderful to see an entire family all together, having fun!  And a beautiful family at that!  The energy and playfulness of the kids was fun…and tiring to photograph!  What a gorgeous day and family to take pictures of!  How fun to see all the kids interact and play together!  They truly have the ‘candid photography’ down pat! Truly a great group!  You have a lot to be proud of!
